Adapting Light

Measuring and Reducing Man-Made Electromagnetic Emissions in Living & Work Spaces

Get in Touch

About

Adapting Light provides domestic and business place inspections, surveys and reporting focused on electromagnetic fields (EMF) and light exposure.

Electrical, magnetic and radiation fields — and the time spent in them — can have a greater impact on physical and mental health than nutrition. I measure, report and educate so you can make informed decisions about the spaces where you live and work.

Services cover Dirty Electricity, low-frequency and AC electrical fields, radio and microwave radiation, plus estimates and education on infrared, visible light and ultraviolet exposure.

EMF Services

Measure Risks

Professional measurement of:

  • Dirty Electricity
  • Magnetic Fields
  • Radio Frequency
  • Microwave Radiation
  • Visible Light
  • Near-Visible (Infrared & Ultraviolet)

Understand Risks

Measured levels are compared against Building Biology standards.

Optional deeper education is available on how specific electromagnetic fields interact with biological systems.

Mitigation Solutions

Practical strategies including:

  • Duration & Proximity
  • Shielding & Reflection
  • Polarisation & Concentration
  • Absorption & Grounding

Identification of high-risk EMF appliances and sources.

Natural Wellness Coaching

Natural circadian rhythms are crucial for well-being. Ironically, most modern humans seriously violate these principles. Mammals — and especially humans — are designed to absorb large amounts of natural electromagnetic radiation and convert it into usable energy.

It is common knowledge that humans absorb ultraviolet light from the sun for vitamin D production. Less widely known is that we also emit ultraviolet light.

If you would like to learn more about optimising and resonating more closely with nature, wellness coaching is available on:

  • Circadian rhythm — revitalising your daily rhythm and understanding the different effects of the sun’s rays on circadian hormones and mitochondria, and their intensity throughout the day.
  • Safe tanning in the New Zealand summer sun — modern living creates many obstacles to healthy tanning; also why humans contain more melanin in the brain than other mammals.
